“Poetry with a Beat,” an avant garde poetry open mic with musical accompaniment featuring local, regional and national poets, storytellers, musicians and the occasional touring circus.
Our stage is a canvass for the improvisational collaboration of performers to create a live piece of art cooperatively.
Every Sunday, 5:30 tea time, 6:30pm open mic and feature with musical accompaniment.
We are also Portland’s Home of the 3-2-1 SLAM (every 4th Sunday), NERD SLAM, HAIKU DEATHMATCH, IMPROV SLAM, LOCAL COVER SLAM & GROUP PIECE SLAM.
Located at Dobra Tea – 151 Middle Street in Portland’s Old Port
